How is the hump nose formed

驼峰鼻多为鼻骨与鼻中隔cartilage交界处的骨性或软骨性隆起，部分为先天发育、部分与外伤有关。它通常不影响呼吸功能，主要是形态问题。

Common classification

• light: Only the cartilage is slightly raised;

• medium-sized: Bone + cartilage mixed protuberances;

• heavy：伴鼻背宽大或nose下垂。

Basic ideas for correction

By cutting off the raised bone/cartilage, narrowing the width of the dorsal nose if necessary, and smoothing the dorsal nose line again. If there is nasal tip droop, the anterior end of the nasal septum needs to be treated simultaneously.

Postoperative attention

The back of the nose needs to be externally fixed and shaped for a period of time to avoid collisions; it will take several months for the final shape to stabilize. Before operation, confirm with your doctor that a moderate arc is maintained to avoid excessive flattening and showing rigidity.
